Juniors

The Newfoundland And Labrador Golf Association and The Royal Canadian Golf Association are offering introductory clinics in the fundamentals of golf to schools in Newfoundland And Labrador. Many schools have already availed of this offer and have incorporated these “Future Links" golf clinics into their physical education program. It is our hope that we can extend this program to as many schools as possible this year.

The course itself will teach students the basics and etiquette of golf. A primary focus will be safety and selecting the right equipment. Students would also be encouraged to enroll in their local golf club and be given information on courses available around the island.

All that would be required to implement this program in your school is one or two hours of class time, and access to a gym and gymnastics mats. A teacher, of course, would also be required to ensure adequate supervision. All other equipment will be supplied free of charge by “Future Links". The cost of this program is free.

If you are interested or have any questions please contact Jim Stick at 722-3242(home), 739-6720(work) or fax 739-6721. This is a great opportunity to offer your students an introduction to the game of golf at no cost to you.
